Absher Landscaping ("we" or "us") provides landscaping, garden design and outdoor solutions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. The information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact and enquiry details: name, phone number, email address, service of interest, preferred contact method and your message, submitted through our contact or quote form.
• WhatsApp conversations: your number, profile name and the messages, photos or voice notes you send to our business account.
• Newsletter data: the email address you subscribe with and your subscription status.
• Project information: site address, plot details, photographs, design preferences, approvals and payment records needed to quote and deliver works.
• Usage, device and preference data: IP address, approximate location, browser type, pages viewed, time on site and your selected language, collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you (forms, calls, WhatsApp, email, newsletter sign-up, site meetings), automatically when you browse the website, and occasionally from third parties such as developers, community management companies or contractors who refer you to us.

4. How we use your data and the lawful basis

We process personal data only where we have a valid reason, namely:

• To answer enquiries, prepare quotations and arrange site visits (steps taken at your request or performance of a contract).
• To plan, deliver, invoice and support the services you order (performance of a contract).
• To send our newsletter and seasonal garden tips if you subscribe (consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
• To operate, secure and improve our website and services, including analytics (legitimate interests).
• To keep accounting, tax and warranty records, comply with UAE legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims (legal obligation and legitimate interests).

5. WhatsApp and our AI assistant

You can message us on WhatsApp directly from the website. To respond quickly, our number may be connected to an AI assistant that answers first, collects basic details about your enquiry and hands over to our team. Messages are processed by our automation and CRM tools so we can reply, and may be reviewed by our staff for quality and accuracy.

Please do not share sensitive information on WhatsApp, such as card numbers, passwords, identity documents or health details. WhatsApp is operated by Meta under its own privacy terms, which we do not control.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only where necessary with:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email delivery, newsletter platforms, CRM and automation tools, AI assistant providers, analytics and payment processors, acting on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
• Subcontractors, suppliers and nurseries involved in your project, limited to the details they need.
• Professional advisers such as accountants, auditors and legal counsel.
• Authorities, courts or regulators where required by law or to protect our rights, and any successor business in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

7. International transfers

Some providers, such as cloud hosting, email and analytics platforms, operate outside the UAE. Where data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure adequate protection, such as using reputable providers, contractual safeguards and data minimisation, in line with applicable UAE data protection requirements.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it securely. Typical periods:

• Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months from our last contact.
• Client and project records (quotations, contracts, invoices, warranty details): the relationship plus at least 5 years, in line with UAE commercial and tax record-keeping requirements.
• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• WhatsApp and email conversations: generally up to 24 months unless part of a project record.
• Analytics data: in aggregated or pseudonymised form, as described in our Cookie Policy.

9. How we protect your data

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including HTTPS encryption, access limited to staff who need the data, secure hosting and regular software updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant authorities where required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of data we no longer need.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing, including direct marketing.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
• Complain to the competent data protection authority in the UAE if you believe your rights have been infringed.

11. Children and third-party links

Our website and services are intended for adults and businesses; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we learn a child has provided it.

Our site includes an embedded Google Map, links to our social media profiles and occasional links to other websites, which operate under their own privacy policies that we do not control.

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
